Alcohol Consumption Among Teenagers (Essay)

Recently, alcohol consumption and drug abuse has become an increasing problem among teenagers.
In addition, there have also been a few cases of death from ethilic comas which have placed the majority of parents on edge.

Some of the possible solutions to this issue can be establishing a curfew for teenagers under 16 and to toughen up the laws and restrictions for those who give alcohol to minors.

As in most cases, we must rely on the authorities to do something about it, but education - both at school and at home - has to become a key factor on the prevention proccess so that young teenagers can get to know the real risks of their actions.

A Monster Calls

A MONSTER CALLS

A Monster Calls is an extraordinary and marvelous film directed by the Spanish director Juan Antonio Bayona. The main cast is formed by Lewis Macdougall as Connor, and the Oscars nominees Sigourney Weaver (as Connor’s grandma) and Felicity Jones ( as Connor’s mother). Connor seeks help for a tree monster to get over his single mum’s cancer.
After his parents got divorced, connor has to look after his mother. Moreover, he has to cope with his autoritary grandmother and the fact that he is bullied at school. Trying to get over his fears, he calls a monster  who tells him three stories.
At first, Connor doesn’t understand the reason why the monster tells him that stories, apparently useless for Connor. But at the end, when Connor has to tell the fourth storyto the monster, he refuses to say what he thinks out loud, but finally he reveals his thoughts: he only wans her mother to die so she doesn’t sufeer more.
This film is based on the named-after novel written by Patrick Ness, and we totally recommend the film and the book, both. It is so emotional and it shows a life lesson. Everyone should see this masterpiece!!
